Keetra Dixon, Visiting Designer poster
February 19, 2008 · 2 Comments
Amazing collaboration with my dear classmate Eileen Levinson!!
It was very exciting to design the visiting designer lecture poster for sweet and lovely Keetra Dixon!!
The printing was unfortantely a disaster and will probably get into the CalArts’ top 5 the worst printing job ever… But Keetra liked it so I am thrilled!

The world of Graphic Design according to Julie (Thesis part III)
February 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The love and Heartbreak show is already over, time to go back for real to my thesis… We only have 61 days before before the final presentaion…
After a semester of making through thinking about graphic design (or at least trying or pretending to) I finally have a thesis!!!
I am making a visual commentary about personal voice in graphic design by studying and reinterpreting pieces made by designers who have a strong personal voice in their work.
To be continued!…

Thesis… part II
October 26, 2007 · 1 Comment
I am already working on my thesis, it isn’t completly clear yet but basically it will be a graphic autobiography and a reflexion about privacy and dealing with the personnal in work.
This piece is the final result of the thinking through making phase, I did this huge drawing (6 by 10 feet) as a collection of all the small posters I’ve made before. The idea was to have one big piece instead of 30 different one and now the different themes are connected.
I’m still trying to figure it all out so to be continued!

Details and close-ups in the drawing section.
